Give your outfit a head start with a stylish and individual handmade hair accessory. This inspiring new title shows you how to make 20 stunning items, with clear step-by-step photography and instructions that guide you through the process with ease.

Dramatic or demure, these crowning glories can then jazz up a casual ensemble or top off a special outfit, and they make the perfect gifts for friends and family. From a seaside headdress to a vintage button barrette, the projects mainly use found objects such as vintage beads, buttons, fabric, and even pine cones and Lego to create stunning hair accessories by plaiting, gluing, and wirework.

Starting with an easy-to-follow techniques section, this journey through the world of creating will prepare you for what’s to come. Exploring a range of materials such as lace, twigs, shells, candy wrappers and chains, you’ll soon be coming up with ideas to design your own accessories. Hair Accessories is packed with inspiration and is designed to cater to all skill levels, especially the novice crafter and those on a budget. Each project offers innovative ideas for using different materials and techniques.

About the Author Sarah Drew lives in Cornwall, UK, where she runs a shop and craft café. She loves making jewelry using recycled materials, such as the sea glass and beach plastic that she picks up on bracing beach walks with her sons and dog. Drew started making jewelry when she was at school and used to sell earrings to pupils and teachers from a small suitcase. She then worked in retail before funding a trip around Australia by selling her jewelry. She now sells her jewelry through shops, galleries, and boutiques and teaches recycled and vintage jewelry-making.
